  • Drugstore.com

Hurray, my drugstore.com loots are here.

It took less than 2 weeks from USA -> Singapore which is amaaazing :D

We bought alot of stuff but only 4 goodies belonged to me.

    Maybelline Dream Matte Pressed Powder

I'm constantly raving about this so I shalln't repeat myself but I bought a backup just in case!

Physician's formula Multi Colored face powder in translucent.

I was quite impressed by the reviews and I like products that even out my skintone without a whole lot of mess or blending.

I've used it twice so far and this is perfect to set my make up without interfering with the base color.

    Monistat Chafing Gel

Yes you read right, chafing gel! But no I don't use em between my thighs!

I love cult products so when I came across about a gazillion reviews that claim how well this product worked as a makeup primer and that the ingredients are crazy similar to Smashbox's photofinish primer! I was so intrigued that I bought one to try. I have both Smashbox's primer and this one, so I'll review the difference when I tried it.

Here's are the articles that eventually convinced me to use a chafing gel as a primer!

Read it if you're ready to take the leap too :)

    Carmex

Well a girl can never have too much lip balms right?

The only thing I don't like is the taste. Its absolutely horrid, but since the product does wonders for my lips, I shalln't complain!

    Till next time then :)

    xoxo,

    Cara

  • Lemmings

    Oh noes, I have lemmings!

    Nature Republic Prism Blossom Powder

There's 4 colors in this loose powder to even out, conceal and highlight your face.

Just apply it with the puff provided and you don't even have to worry about mixing the right colors together!

    WANT.

    M.A.C Blush in Well Dressed

Am NOT a huge fan of pink blushers cuz of my skin tone but my make up artist used this on me the other day and I look every bit the blushing, glowing bride!

    LOVE.

Bobbi Brown's Shimmer Brick in Bronze

The colors they have are dazzling but I think Bronze has got to be my favourite.

Use it alone or all the shades together, to highlight, contour, as a blush or an eyeshadow..the possibilities are endless!

    DREAM.

Anybody wanna get em for me?

    LOL

    XO,

    Cara

  • latest hauls!

Need a short break away from my notes, so here I am, updating my latest hauls.

    Etude Liquid Eyeliner

This was highly raved by 1 of our burmese, Lydia.  Both of us have got oily eyelids sad and she shared with me how awesome this has worked for her.

and amazingly, it works well for me too! Not only that, the price is reasonable!

    Revlon Lipstick and Lip Gloss

Been sourcing for nude lippies and under no circumstance, I bought these 2 items.  It's non oily and it gives me an almost complete natural look.  Currently, there's a promotion @ Watson, Raffles City SC.  UP $20.90, NOW $16.90.

OK, back to my policy notes, laters!

  • 5 products to buy...under $10.

Took a lonnnng hiatus cuz so many things have been happening over the last few months but I'm back!

Will try to update more regularly!

So anyway, I was telling a girlfriend the other day that I love buying cheap products only to realize they work like a dream.

So here's sharing some of my favorites with you!

    DAISO BRUSH AND SPONGE CLEANSER

An amazing cleanser to clean your make up brushes and sponges...and only $2.

My brushes don't feel hard after it dries, neither does it fall out like crazy but some wouldn't recommend washing your real expensive brushes with a cheap cleanser, so its up to individual really. :)

    Maybelline Dream Matte Powder

    About usd$6.59 from Drugstore.com

The coverage and oil control is perfect for me since I don't require heavy coverage and my skin is rather dry.

Sasa Tea Tree Oil Blemish Control Stick

I know some people are allergic to tea tree oil so you can skip this product but I love it!

I discovered it when my local Sasa was having a promotion so I bought it for about $6.

Its a cream - powder concealer, really easy to blend and hides the worst blemishes even. I'm completely impressed and its a staple in my make up pouch now.

    NYX Round Lipsticks

    *photocredits to luvverlyn.onsugar.com*

Great for lipstick beginners. Not only is it cheap (about USD$2 each) its highly pigmented, moisturising and lets you play around with a variety of looks without breaking your bank.

I've bought some crazy colors to play around with and I never would have if the lippies had cost a pretty penny.

    Lioele's Real brush pen eyeliner

I think this was my first ever pen liquid eyeliner and boy am I glad I chose this!

About $10 from John Little stores, its practically idiot proof to draw with this.

The color is intense, doesn't smudge easily (i haven't got oily eyelids so I can't speak for those who do,sorry!) and its a breeze to draw with!

So what are your cheap makeup staples? Share with me!

    xoxo,

    Cara
